Mechanical Engineer

DefSecIntel Solutions (DSI) is an innovative technology company specializing in the development of world-class autonomous surveillance systems for defence and security. We are looking for a mechanical engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. Your duties will involve analysing problems, creating solutions, and ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineers and technicians, to bring projects from concept to completion.
What you will be doing:
- Designing, developing, and testing of mechanical components, devices, and systems
- Monitoring test procedures, analysing test data and making changes to improve performance and reliability
- Ensuring efficient and cost-effective production of design solutions by providing input on manufacturing processes, material selection and quality control
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams- setting project timelines and ensuring deliverables are delivered on time and within budget
- Troubleshooting mechanical failures, solving technical problems, and resolving other performance related issues
- Documenting design specifications, test results and project progress
- Participating in research and development of innovative technologies, materials, and design methodologies to improve products and create innovative solutions.
What we are looking for:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, machinery, and materials.
- Proficiency in CAD software (E.g., Fusion 360, Inventor) for design and modelling.
- Ability to analyse mechanical systems, components, and structures to optimize performance, durability, and efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for analysing complex engineering problems and developing innovative solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and project managers
- Strong communication skills for effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
