We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join DefSecIntel’s Finance team. You will be closely working with our purchase, sales, production and warehouse and be a process owner for daily accounting as well as playing a crucial part in improving the processes and participating in software implementations ensuring that the daily accounting in ERP and related applications is carried out according to best practices.

What you will be doing:

  • Processing purchase invoices (both cost and PO-related)
  • Managing fixed assets
  • Handling expense and travel reports
  • Recording and reconciling bank transactions
  • Preparing and submitting VAT declarations
  • Submitting statistical reports
  • Supporting month-end closings in finance
  • Ensuring that all accounting practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards, while actively contributing to internal and external financial audits

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in accounting or finance (preferably from production or retail)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards (Estonian GAAP, IFRS).
  • Thorough understanding of tax laws, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Estonian and English
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy
