We are looking for a Principal Engineer (Architect) to provide technical leadership and shape the future of our software platforms. This role ensures that our systems are scalable, modular, and future-ready, while serving as the architectural authority across teams. You will bridge silos, set clear standards, and define the long-term technical vision that enables the delivery of reliable, high-performing solutions. At the end of the day you will bring real life impact on the frontlines to save real lives.

What you will be doing:
- Define and evolve system architecture to ensure scalability, modularity, performance, and adaptability to future needs
- Translate business and product requirements into clear, practical technical designs and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, operations) to align technical decisions with strategic goals and ensure smooth system interoperability
- Evaluate and integrate diverse sensors and hardware (cameras, radars, ROS devices) to ensure reliable operation, data handling, and communication in challenging field conditions with limited connectivity
- Establish and uphold best practices in architecture, coding standards, integration, and security across teams
- Mentor and guide engineers in system-level thinking, modern architecture patterns, and integration practices
- Drive continuous improvement by reviewing current architecture, identifying bottlenecks, and leading scalability, reliability, and resilience initiatives
What we are looking for:
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex, distributed systems architecture
- Strong knowledge of modern architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven, cloud-native, modular systems)
- Hands on experience in implementing, coding and reviewing the code is required
- Solid background in software engineering with the ability to deep-dive into technical challenges
- Experience in API and integration design, with emphasis on scalability and reliability
- Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to balance innovation with operational stability in decision-making
